This pump is so small and light that it's barely noticeable on my bike. The compact size does require more pumping, but it has worked as advertised for me. Fortunately, I've never needed for myself. However, I have been able to help several others who might have had a bad day otherwise. If you want the performance of a floor pump, buy a floor pump.
You can't get much smaller but that also means it does take alot of strokes.
This pump has saved the day when other riders had failed CO2 cartridges or no pump. I've read alot of positive reviews on this pump and I own several others but I prefer the mini. Though it takes more effort, it does work and I plan to purchase another. It's not the best pump for someone who flats frequently and you have to take care not to damage your valve while pumping.
Perfect size
Perfect size for my saddle bag and my camelbak. Packs plenty of punch for its small size.
It takes a while to fill a tube, but that's the cost of its very compact design.
This pump is really cool and it's surprising how much volume to get out of this little thing. Unfortunately, it's simply too small to handle mtb volumes. I meant to purchase the larger version of the Blackburn pump and it's awesome. Oops, but I'll continue with this unless it's simply a loss.
would not recommend because it takes so long to get this to a high-enough psi. Yes it works, but do you really want to spend that much time by the side of the road? It takes way more than a few minutes to get up to a rideable psi
Haven't had to use the Airstik much yet... thats a good thing! But like everything else I have Blackburn, looks very nice. Well constructed, well finished and high quality. Mounts nicely and is discrete looking... so far so good.
Bought this to use for road cycling. Would not reach stated PSI and would only get enough pressure to limp carefully home. Returned item after trying it.
I've used this pump on a couple of flat tire incidences so far and have had a very good experience with it. One needs to be strong and well coordinated to get good results and thankfully I am) On my road commute bike I used to be happy with enough pressure to get home, about 70ish psi. Now I don't have to make do with less than 100 psi - so NICE! And, it looks very cool on my SWorks DC bike.
I purchased this pump as a back-up to the CO2 cartridge. It tucks under the H2O bottle cage neatly and is a great security blanket!
This pump does what you'd expect. It pumps up tires but takes a very long time and a lot of strokes. It's great for what I purchased it to do, it's a backup to using CO2 cartridges. Simple to install and very light and small.
Haven't had to use it on the road yet. Did use it for practice and it would take hundreds of pumps to get to a decent pressure. It was also difficult to remove from the valve even with striking the pump next to the valve. Had to wiggle it off. Very high quality pump and got it mainly for the light weight and small size.
After I broke my Silca telescoping mini pump I had for 10 years I replaced it with this little wonder. I have been using this pump for over a year on all my bikes, MTB, road and commuter. For such a small pump it works great. I don't like using CO2 so this takes a bit longer but I'm never stuck looking for a full little cartridge. I like that it fits in a jersey pocket or my backpack with out taking up much space. Some mini pumps are useless this one works awesome.
