The B-RAD Mounting Bases are the foundation for the B-RAD system. This mounting system is lightweight, rust-proof, and comes in 2, 3, and 4-slot options.
The 2-Slot base can move bottles or other accessories to an optimal location even on a smaller or dual-suspension frame. Next up is the 3-Slot, which has 4 threaded holes to provide additional adjustment and mounting options. A typical application would be to mount a bottle cage in the forward threaded holes with a B-RAD accessory tucked behind it. This mounts perfectly to triple bottle mounts on frames and forks. Finally, the 4-Slot is the longest base with 9 threaded holes for the ultimate flexibility and capacity when bikepacking, touring, commuting, or just exploring on two wheels. It's long enough to mount 2 small bottles inline or multiple accessories, perfect for whatever you like.
To make mounting a little easier, the 3-Slot and 4-Slot bases come with zip ties, channels for the zip ties, and a foam pad for secure mounting. With all the options available for customization and versatility, get ready to make your favorite bike better than ever.

The only negative is the price, seems a bit expensive for a piece of steel and a few bolts...but, without it, you can't customize your bike storage, so in some cases, it's necessary to have, as it was for me. In my case I was using a tall Nalgene 48-ounce bottle which when mounted to my fork would not allow the bottles to pass under the down tube as I turned the fork in one direction or the other, so by putting on the B-Rad it allowed me to be able to bring the bottles lower down on the fork and now the bottles clear the down tube.
B-Rad stands for Bottle Relocation and Accessory Device, it means what it says.
That's just one use for them, there are many other ways to use them. While I bought the shortest version of the three. With planning you could use one of these to hold two bottles instead of just one the bike was built for, or one larger bottle.
As the B-Rad stands for it can also hold accessories, and Wolf Tooth sells optional straps to make it work in that regard. With the straps you can hold a dry sack with a sleeping back stuffed into it for one example, lots of variations can be thought of with this mounting base, as long as the strap can fit around something it can be held.
I use the 2-slot bases to optimize bottle holder placement for my various water bottles and bikes. The B-RAD bases are lightweight and fit close to the bike frame for good aerodynamics, lighter and closer than the XLAB Aero Cage Opimizer.
