Speed refresh.

The SRAM Red XG-1190 PowerdomeX™ cassette offers most precise shifting and quietest operation possible for your SRAM 11-speed drivetrain. This version has been updated to match the aesthetics of the rest of SRAM's eTap electronic drivetrain, but as always, the nine hollow center sprockets are machined from a single block of high grade tool steel, for amazing stiffness while weighing even less than a titanium cassette. The largest cog, made of heat-treated aluminum, features cut-outs for extra weight savings with no sacrifice of stiffness or strength. StealthRing elastomer inserts have been placed between each cog to reduce vibration and noise for dead-silent shifting.

Cog ranges:

  • 11-25: 11,12,13,14,15,16,17,19,21,23,25
  • 11-26: 11,12,13,14,15,16,17,19,21,23,26
  • 11-28: 11,12,13,14,15,16,17,19,22,25,28

Riding with sram etap - the cassettes work quite well, but cost a small fortune.

I have a few of the previous XG-1190s in various sizes and weigh them all. I was rather disappointed when the 11-28 cassette came in at 168g which is 10 more then my other two 11-28s. The new version is Identical to the old with the exception the back no longer has a 22 and the words Sram and Red switched places. Don't get me wrong it's still a great cassette as the original XG-1190, but I was under the impression there was something new and I was gonna shave a couple grams on my new build.
