The standard for adventure cycling.

From bikepacking the Great Divide Route to putting in a big day on gravel backroads, the Revelate Viscacha is the go-to seat bag for bikepacking and adventure cycling. The bag uses a roll-down opening to expand or compress – comfortably swallowing 6 to 14 liters of cargo. A removable internal compression strap helps to compress cargo to keep it tight and close-in and high-density foam stiffens the front and protects cargo from rattling against the seat and seatpost. The bag attaches with a large velcro seatpost attachment, grippers, and a dual-position saddle strap that quickly and securely tightens cargo against the seat rails, keeping securely lashed.

Sizing: Please keep in mind that this is a large seat bag, so check your bike to confirm that you have the space. The Viscacha requires 8 in. of clearance from saddle rails to top of tire and a minimum of 5 in. of exposed seat post length. Fully compress full suspension frames to measure tire clearance.

I used this for a 100 mile point-to-point ride on my road bike where I needed clothes and sundries at the other end. I packed 5 t-shirts, 1 pair jeans, 1 nano-puff Patagonia jacket, 1 pair shorts, 4 underwear, 4 socks, 2 tubes, multitool, and a small tire pump (w gage). I used a front pack to carry the sneakers, wallet, food, and chargers. This was on a carbon bike but I swapped out the carbon saddle and post for metal for this trip. This bag is incredible and perfect for creditcard touring on a road bike. I noticed the weight but no sway and the bike handled very well. Averaged over 17mph for 110miles w 7k feet of elevation.
