The Pirelli PZero Race Road Tire sets the standard as one of the lightest all-around tube-type tires for high-intensity training sessions and races.
The TechBELT Road carcass improves reliability against punctures without affecting the weight of the tire, while the special SmartEVO Compound enhances grip both on wet and dry asphalt compared to Pirelli's previous cycling compounds.
The new tube-type TechBELT Road carcass was developed to provide puncture protection in a wide variety of conditions. It consists of a light, yet flexible casing structure with an added layer of high-cut resistant fabric.
The SmartEVO Compound is a new formulation that enhances the grip of the tire, especially in cornering.
The tread pattern of PZero Race is an evolution of the design of PZero Velo — several seasons of research and development on the roads of the World Tour led to a new design that enhances performance in every weather condition.
As always, Pirelli draws upon their decades of experience crafting motorsport rubber to build their cycling tires. The results are exceptional.

Comparable with the Conti 5000. It is a little bit heavier but I started using because I was getting so many flats on The Conti 5,000 tires.
I use a Conti on my front tire. These on my back tire. I would say try it.
I'm 6' 2" and 185 lbs. Usually run Specialized s-works turbo 26c or Vittoria Corsa 25c on my Campagnolo Bora Ultra clincher wheels. Love the Vittoria's, but wanted something more flat resistant. The s-works turbo worked well, but wanted a tan sidewall for a more vintage look. The Pirelli's are not as comfortable or as fast as the Vittoria's. The Perelli's feel faster than the s-works turbo and similar for comfort, and also come in tan sidewall. I feel the Perelli's are slightly better than the s-works turbo, but not quite as good as the Vittoria's
This is an early review, as I've only been on a few rides with this tire on the rear. So far, it is performing up to snuff. For comparison, I like the Vittoria Corsa Control and the Conti GP5000, but am not a fan of Schwalbe Pro One or Specialized Roubaix tires. Every rider has their sweet spot, combining durability, puncture resistance, and long lasting grippiness, and those are the metrics I base my assessments on. Since the Pirelli P-zero is still new to me, no strong opinion yet. It is true to size, and was reasonably easy to mount. Tread seems to be on the thin side, especially when compared to the Conti or Vittoria. Will update when I have a more definitive take.
Tried the PZero Race to replace Conti 5000, which are very tight and difficult to change on my road rims. I was pleasantly pleased that the PZero corners great with a smooth ride and holds up as long as the 5000 and is very easy to mount .
I'm using the 28C I'm really liking these tires I'm a little heavier guy and I use them with 90 psi in the front and 95 psi in the rear I have comfort and a good grip. I train Crit with them!!! I liked it a lot!!
Had such a pain mounting those other tires thought I'd give these a go. After one ride a stone wedged under the tread but, didn't go thru to the tube. I was sold on them and bought more. Very happy with the ride using 28's
First ride I get a flat. I also felt slower on these tires, for whatever reason.. I'm coming from Schwalbe Pro One's and after today's 70 mile ride on the Pirelli's, my initial impression is not good. I'll continue riding them, maybe my opinion will change. Looking to get another pair of Schwalbe's in the future, I'll likely never differ again.

This tire is easy to mount and fast. I would expect supply of 30 mm will get scarce as it is discovered.
30 mm is plush on rough pavement yet responsive. I only need to carry 1 spoon to change a tube on
HED wheels with this tire. I will buy this tire set again.
Fast rolling and lots of grip wet or dry. This is my new go-to road tire. Also, very easy to mount and dismount without tools for the unfortunate flat tire (damn thorns). These seem to do a lot better with broken glass and other debris. Will purchase again!
Impressive rolling resistance, comfort and, so far, durability. While these are also lightweight I have to admit that while I like those positives I actually bought them for the look!
This was my first experience with Pirelli tires, and I was very happy with what I got. I got 25mm tires, and they ended up being slightly wider once inflated, but they felt great on the road. I put about 1600 miles on the tires, and there is still plenty of life left to them. The tires feel super grippy in the corners and roll really fast, which was really fun to ride. I also rode these tires on some pretty rough roads with a lot of debris, and didn't have any issues with puncturing. I don't have much experience riding these in the wet, but my experience with these tires was overwhelmingly positive.
Glad I found these tires, they have massive grip, are amazingly fast and oh so easy to install on my new deep rims!
I was skeptical at reviews touting their quietness but these tires tea are almost silent compared to my Maxxis Detonators and other tires used the last few years.
Deeper rims create a problem for installing tires but these Pirelli P Zeros slip right on and off.
I conducted a test, after installing them I immediately and easily removed them using only my hands and a tire lever.
Amazing, amazing and utterly amazing, plus these tires will also increase your speed.
I dont understand the technology involved but it works, you can feel the increase in speed and the bike computer confirms it.
Buy these tires or remain slow and frustrated at painful tire changes.
After many years of riding on veloflex and continental tires, the P Zeros are a nice change. Not only do they look hot, they come in a varity of colors they roll nice, feel good on the road and grippy, so far no issues with flats so seem to hold up good so far. I live in southern California so weather and roads here are pretty good most of the time. Not many harsh roads where I live and ride. I bought the PZero classic gum wall tire a few months ago and recently replaced those with Gold label (Gold Text on black ) . Looks very nice on my stealth Black Canyon Ultimate. I will call this a good deal. Placing order is easy and shipping is fast.
