Good option in 30mm Tubeless size
by Fogmaster

Have 1200 miles on these on my Specialized Tarmac in size 30, very few other choices in this size. As noted, they are very hard to mount; the master bike mechanic who put them on fought with them for way more than it took to get the Conti 5000s on, but so far they are wearing well. I have had a few small leaks in front tire, but the tubeless healed itself.

So far these are looking good, the Conti 5000's never made it past 800-900 miles on my rear (I ride on lots of chipseal roads) and they have good grip and handling.

Comfort and protection
by Steve
WI

Spent a decade or so on gatorskins and became complacent with the ride quality. I rarely change things up so i spent a fair amount of time trying to find a replacement that added some comfort for my aging body. So far midwest chip and seal and potholes have done no damage to these tires. The traction is good, the tires are very supple, and the protection is what i was hoping it would be.

Mounts well - no complaints
by bcl

I didn't have any issues mounting these without tire irons. A little strength and know how. In addition, I had no issues using orange sealant.

I decided on these tires since past experience w/ tubes have been very good. Assuming tubeless will be even better.

Great tires once you get them mounted

These are not easy to get on the rims. I didn't do them myself, I had a local shop mount them for me and the mechanic (he's a master) struggled to get them on. I had the tubeless fail 3 times after sitting, but the 4th time was the charm. I really like these tires for my winter riding and switched from the usual Conti 5000's because those are not durable enough for winter riding. I have about 500 miles on them and really like them, ordering a second set now.

Finally got the tires mounted and up to pressure on my Krysium rims. We will see if I can get them stretched enough to get them on my Zipps. The jury is still out on how they perform on the road.
