Block the chill without the bulk.
Using Polartec® Light Wind Pro fabric, Louis Garneau has made these knee warmers lighter and thinner than traditional fleece warmers without compromising insulation. Tightly knit proprietary yarns in a single layer are what keep the wind out and heat in while allowing the Wind Pro Knee Warmers much more breathability than multi-layer options. Their pre-shaped ergonomic fit includes articulated knees and flatlock seams for optimum comfort and mobility, and they sit securely beneath your favorite shorts thanks to silicone grippers at the thighs.

Poor fit design

These were a non-starter for me due to fit.
I have the arm warmers and they actually fit pretty well. The problem with the newer LG warmers, however, is they are way, way too wide at the upper openings. Same with these. I have a previous version of their wind-proof arm warmers and they are way too big up top too. My friend has had the same issue.
I'm 5'9 and 160. Pulling these up mid-thigh, will leaves me with them barely going past my knee. By the time I turned around to look in the mirror, the first one was bunched around my knee cap. If all you care about is your knee caps, then they might be for you.
They are light weight and seemed comfortable on. The arm warmers offer light weight wind-protection, and I assume these would too. Too bad the fit is awful.
