Less is more.

In the case of Cobb Cyclings short-nosed JOF (Just Off Front) Fifty-Five Saddle, less is more. Cobb Cylings John Cobb designed the JOF geometry with comfort, versatility, and performance in mind. The shortened nose enables riders to slide forward for an optimal aerobar position. To prevent pressure and friction on your sensitive bits, this saddle features a central cut-out and depressed channel that extends almost the entire length of the saddle. The cut-out and channel also assist with airflow for enhanced overall comfort. The long rear construction of the Fifty-Five facilitates an easy transition to a more neutral position when desired. The svelte sides of the saddle reduce thigh rubbing and hamstring obstruction.

With comfort and performance in mind, this saddle has just the right amount of padding comfortable for both bib shorts and tri shorts so roadies dont have to miss out on the luxury and proficiency of the Fifty-Five. Thanks to its waterproof stitching, this saddle is resilient in the face of sweat and rain. For those of you that prefer a range of hydration mounting options, the Fifty-Five is compatible with Cobb Cyclings rear hydration mount so you dont have to compromise on fluids.

Better for me than ISM
by FlippersForFeet

The arms of the saddle stay narrow for a longer part of the saddle than many ISM models. This allows for much freer movement of my legs.

Beautiful but comfort comes at a cost
by JDDyke

This is my first foray into split nose saddles and I'm a convert. For a saddle without much padding it is highly comfortable in an aggressive riding position and I've had no numbness issues. I purchased this one for my track bike and I'm considering a second for my road bike. It's definitely not the cheapest saddle and if you're a weight weenie who has to have carbon fibre everything this definitely isn't going to be for you. However, if your main requirement from a saddle is a comfortable place for your derrire andor have perineal numbness it may be worth trying this saddle.

I have issues with long distance rides, particularly on my sit bones. This saddle has been awesome. No numbness, and no pain. I love it.
