I bought two, one for me and one for my wife, and we both think they're terrific. The weather hasn't been hot yet but I have worn it a few warmer days and I find it very light and comfortable. I can imagine wearing it for long rides on hot days without worrying about overheating.
One reviewer mentioned that the pattern was a little strange and gives the jersey a dirty appearance. We bought the optic yellow jersey and I'd have to agree, it can look like you've been spattered by mud, but it doesn't bother me or my wife.
Because of skin cancer issues on my arms, I always have to wear long sleeved jerseys or sun sleeves when I ride. This jersey has been fantastic for me because it's SPF 50 and an aero-ish fit so the back pockets don't sag when loaded. The patterns of the material are a little different. Maybe that's because they are made from recycled plastics. I have both and don't mind them at all. Perhaps the teal green jersey looks a little better. But the yellow one stays cooler in the sun.
The jersey fits fine and works great but the bright yellow color is not all that it appears to be from a distance. When I saw it in the bag I thought it was soiled with dust. My friends were confused and asked it if was dirt on the Jersey. When we all looked closer we could see a pattern in most areas of the jersey but not all. Really weird. Why not make it all yellow? Why add 'pattern' in selected areas? We laughed about it but I don't wear it much these days because I am tired of the reaction.
I have several attack long sleeve shirts, while the material and build quality are great the sizing is a little off since a L/XL/2xl all fit me about the same. I get that are "race" fit but have never been more confused about fit in my life since normally I can feel/see a difference between garments when sizing up or down.
Admittedly, I just started cycling again after a long hiatus. but I have some jerseys that are over 20 years old and still in great shape. This jersey is VERY thin for the exorbitant price and seems to me it will not last more than a 2 or 3 seasons. Not at all the quality I remember from this brand. Very disappointing.
This jersey is exactly as described: a long sleeve SUMMER-weight jersey. That's what I wanted and I'm glad to say it delivers. I got the forest green and it has a beautiful no-fuss, minimal look to it. The fabric is super lightweight and ideal for long days in the saddle where you're probably going to sweat off your sun protection and won't be able to put on new stuff. By blocking the sun and absorbing my perspiration, it actually has a cooling effect when riding on a warm day.
And while it's certainly not going to be a very warm jersey for cooler temps, Paired with the wind vest it's perfect for the shoulder season. Mornings where you head out and it's 60deg And you don't want to wear a thermal, but need a little something extra to keep the chill off.
Complaints? The fabric is very delicate. Got a few snags the first time I washed it, (Which are very visible on the forest green fabric because the interior is a lighter color). So, definitely zip it and wash it inside out. The pockets also seem very loose. I wish one of them had a zipper or were a little tighter fitting to hold my stuff more secure.
I have 6 of the long sleeve attack jerseys now and love them for the price. My only gripe is the sizing is a little weird since the L and XL fit me almost identically width and length wise
i i like the feel, quality and weight of the material used in the jersey. Perfect for shoulder season here in Tucson. Nice slim/race fit for those who are looking for that in a jersey.
I like everything about it! Cool and some warmth on cooler days.
Great protection from the suns harsh rays on those summer rides, while also keeping things cool.
