We use this as a stand alone rack for our fat bikes as well as a stabilizer when we haul them on our pickups tail gait pad. A velcro strap holds the tire in place and the rack prevents the bike from swaying a lot on winding or rough roads. One of the rack was set up oddly with spacers when I got it, but I rearranged them and it now works fine. The rack also serves as a work and cleaning stand while on the road, so it serves several purposes. All in all a pretty good pieces of equipment.
