trail bike
I have about 100 miles on the tires. One race, a couple of commutes, and a few practice sessions. Last time I went out for a little CX practice I noticed the sidewall on the rear tire has a bulge, a small split in the casing, and a noticeable thump as you ride at speed. It became more noticeable on pavement.
The one race on these tires was a fast course on a dry grass, dirt, and pavement. Tires performed well. Good traction in the corners and lighter weight made for better acceleration. Just wished they lasted more than 100 miles.
So far these tires are holding up well. I use them for multi-surface commuting. Pavement and crushed limestone trail (with hardpack and loose material surface). I really like the low weight, low rolling resistance on pavement, and stability on loose trails. I commute 100 miles week, and am in week 4 now.
Bought this tire about a month ago, during a promo sale, to go on my kilo. The tires barely fit brakeless on stock rims (the tire hairs touch the fork). I've seen them online measured at about 27mm. The tires are of a soft compound, which is to be expected considering it is a CX tire. Not too bad in the rain on pavement, and awesome in the dirt. I will be buying these again just because they fit, kinda, and they look awesome. I would post a picture but I can't.
