I changed to this tire from a pair of Schwalbes. They give me a more supple ride. I immediately noticed a big difference when it comes to road cracks. The Schwalbes give a harsh ride, but they probably last longer! I have gotten good wear out of the Michelin pro 3's, so I think the 4's should be the same.
I replaced 28mm Continental 4000s with the 25mm Pro4 Endurance and I am glad I did.
The ride is more supple, and so far no flats.
I got a flat at least every other 50+ mile ride with the Continentals, and they were such a hassle to remove from my DuraAce rims.
I bought it because the tire had a very good puncture resistance rating and a very low
Rolling resistance rating. No other tire rated this good. Rolling resistance is about 14.5.
Puncture resistance about 70. This ratio worked for me.
Thought I'd give these a try because I've had really good experience with Michelin tires on my motorcycle and car. Crazy reason I know. But let me tell you what. I gained a little speed with these and actually feel like I can tell they're faster and easier to get the power to the ground. Extremely happy and highly recommend.
Second time I've bought these tires and get great wear and puncture resistance. Goat heads a plenty in the Central Valley of California
I have used these tires for years, and have not had a flat tire. That said, I am careful about road debris and mostly ride in more rural areas vs city streets. I also wipe and inspect the tires after each ride, since I often ride alone. I always keep one or two tires in reserve in case a tire looks like it is wearing, or I am leaving on a bike tour. Cheers, and happy riding!
Been using michelin for years, works well in New England with changing surfaces and temps.
I've been riding Krylion, Krylion Carbon, Krylion II, and now Pro 4 endurance tires for years. I've never been disappointed about their puncture resistance or their milage claims. Great all round tires.
Have been using these since they came out and regularly get 3000+ miles without flats. On my seventh set. Easy to install, don't need irons to get on. I use 25mm they are smooth, comfortable, and fast, cornering much better than other endurance tires I tried. These are all I use and now put them on my wife and daughters bikes.
Only a few hundred miles of road on them so far, but they are smooth riding with plenty of grip. I like the soft rubber to improve grip, although I suspect they won't wear as well as the harder variety. I'll take the safety, especially with wet leaves coming our way here in New England.
These tires are easy to mount, supple and very responsive, first rate.
Got 2 riding seasons out of the rear tire. One flat, due to a freshly chip-sealed county road! They were chip sealing that day and a sharp shard of rock penetrated to the tube. After that got numerous miles out of the tire.At least 5000 miles total! Finally decided to change it this Fall when the roads got wet and the debris started adhering to the rubber. Great tire!
Always waiting for this tire to be in stock and hopefully on sale. Lasts with me riding, on paved roads, a few years. With anywhere between 20 & 120 miles a week. Fast tire on my road bike 18-22 mph is usually speed of ride
These are great tires, reasonably lightweight and will give you at least 2000 miles. After 2000 miles your risk of flats goes up, but I've gotten as many as 3000.
Nice slick for the price point.Got them for the road as well as for the velodrome. Solid performer.
Great for training rides. Smooth. Decent traction on wet roads.
Good sturdy tire at a reasonable price
Endurance road rider 3-4 times a week for a total of 150 miles a week in fast paced group rides over differing terrains on farm to market asphaltconcrete and chip-seal roads
I try and ride 6 days a week, part of the feel good club. I like the looks of the tread after a few hundred miles. No visible cuts compared to other brands.
I have only ridden about 400 miles on these tires. I find that they give a nice ride with gear control. They smooth out the chip and seal roads that are so plentiful in northern Indiana and glide effortlessly over newer asphalt. Love the red stripes too . The look great on my bike. I can't speak to longevity as I have only put a few hundred miles on.
