I commute 25 miles to work before the sun comes up, lights up the road well and makes for a safe commute, does not take up a lot of room on the handle bar and is not very heavy.
Great light right up until I didnt screw it down right and it fell off. Very good light.
Great light, great quality. The description was accurate but I wish it lasted more before I had to recharge it. I recommend it.
The Light and Motion Urban 650 is the best headlight I have ever purchased. It is easy to setup on your bike and the light is amazing. I don't know what I did before I got this.
I sometimes return after sunset.
So far this has been a great light. I ride in an urban area, for most of my riding the medium setting is perfect. Its nice having the 650 option, but I really don't need it.
This light probably wasnt intended to be used as a helmet MTB light but its one of the best Ive used. Because of its weight, beam size, ease of use and battery life. Its also a great gravel bike light.
Bike commuting, pleasure biking
I have used the pulsating mode on this light, but have noticed it seems the lights that flash off and on are more visible. The full bright mode makes it very easy to see the road ahead.
Bought two of these and they look like a motorcycle coming down the road.Compact and lightweight but most of all is the performance. Charges up and ready to go again! Thanks
I've used this light for daily commutes as well as weekend-warrior cycling excursions and find it's quality of illumination and durability to be excellent thus far. Riding on the main streets or back roads with this light allows me to BE SEEN!! I can't count how many times this light has 'saved my bacon' from being cut off or t-boned from a side street or other sudden dangers... day or night! When it's too dark on a side street or trail...Bright Light! The extra visibility keeps me from hitting bad ruts or potholes and getting a flat or worse. I've made it across town on less than a full charge & down from the mountain into town on a good charge. Not much for me to dislike about it so far. Glad I purchased this product. The jury is still out on how it holds up for me in a heavy rain, but I usually cover my lights up with clear plastic bags anyhow if it gets rainy.
Dusk and dark riding is no longer an issue for visibility. This light makes me visible and guides the way with a very effective lighting of the road surface ahead.
Darkness has descended upon New England, and a good light is a necessity for trail riding in the afternoon and the daily commute. I bought this light on sale for a ridiculous price, so it could be half as good and still a great value. The light has worked well on the road and trails, and has been put to the abuse test by my 14 year old son mountain biking all fall in the dark on our beautiful, rocky, root-filled trails. The only quality I cannot address is longevity, since I have only had it for a few weeks.
Used this for my first ever trail ride in the dark the other night. I've run in the woods with less lighting so I wasn't prepared for the shadows that freaked me out at first but my trail in front of me was lit up. It's very light and I barely noticed it on my helmet after a few minutes and it definitely did its job. I also have to get used to that branches won't just slide off my helmet anymore with that mount. I'm saving up for a more powerful one to go on my handlebars from light and motion.
Excellent brightness for morning commute in the dark. Goes to half power use in half hour of full brightness so have to recharge at work as commute is a hour each way. Charging is a bit awkward to access port and have to remove from bike. So far rubber strap that holds light on bar is intact after a lot of on and off. Overall serves the purpose well for the price.
This light projects an intense narrow beam and illuminates very well. It is well made. The light is bright enough to illuminate even small objects 15 feet in front of you. I highly recommend this for cycling along completely unlit roads and bike paths.
I like a number of things about this light, ok on a few and a couple don't work for me. I needed more light and this light is bright. It is even a little bright on low. I really like the side lights. They make me feel more visible on the beam. I had problems with the light staying on my spot. It kept rolling back horizontal which put my spot too far back. I like that I can bump it easily left or right it curves though. The race mode is cool, but it wasn't in the instructions and I struggled with it in a group night ride. I had to play with it the next day in daylight off the bike to figure out what was going on and how to get it in and not in race mode. The killer for me was that it interferes with my Cat Eye micro wireless computer. My interval training rides are typically done early morning when I need the light but I also manage my pace with my computer. I played with location but any time I get within 6 inches my speed reading goes to 0. I know it is not right because at zero I usually fall over an I wasn't falling over. It's fine for a night group ride when I don't use the computer as much, but even in this situation it keeps rolling up and shooting my beam out past the guy I'm drafting. The charging is easy and the plug cover falls off so I'll loose it eventually. I like the brightness, size and USB charging. I read one review where they thought the pulsing, instead of flashing, was too subtle. I have to agree. I like it at night but do not feel like it catches your eye enough during the day.
I had to either get a different light or a different computer. I like that computer. It's simple, effective, and installed. I'm going to add a lanyard to the light because it has a spot for it which is a plus, then throw it in my camping box. I think it will do a great job camping.
I use it as a daytime front light and really appreciate that it runs 12 hours on the high pulse mode, no worries about it running out of charge during a ride. Great that the unit is fairly waterproof. One minor niggle is that the charge port is close to the front edge of the mount, so plugging it into a cable for charging is awkward unless I rotate the light to one side or unstrap the entire assembly from the handlebar (I put the bolt in the back of the mount to ensure that the light can't slide out of the mount during a ride).
Headlight for my commuter bicycle. I like the side yellow lights as that increases my visibility. I think the handlebar mount needs work. I need to remove the mount to get the light charged. Would like to be able to remove light from mount instead. I think the on/off/changing mode switch is difficult to operate. I need to use two hands to operate the switch.
