This is my 3 rd Kuat and it seems quality has declined over the last 7-8 yrs. Double and 4x racks seem to be higher quality than this single.
I wanted a lighter weight bike rack. The one I had weighed 58 pounds. This rack weighs about 33 pounds. I can carry it with one hand. Fits my 2 hitch excellent.
This bike rack is top notch. It is designed very well and holds all my bikes, be it 2.8in wide tire mountain bikes, or my road bikes. I got the lock set with it for piece of mind. I love that it is expandable and plan to purchase that add on.
I bought this for the no touch on my carbon frame. So far, so good. Mounts pretty secure. The included tools are a nice touch, as well.
This rack feels substantial, well-made, and is incredibly easy to use. And at this price, the ability to tilt the loaded rack down in order to access my lift gate is a huge plus.
