I had a small crash on a commute this spring. Nothing too bad, but the helmet I was wearing had a pretty deep scratch in it. I decided I needed to replace it. Did some snooping on line, and decided the Kask Mojito was the perfect replacement. Extremely adjustable. Great fitting. I actually forget Im wearing it sometimes. It is my favorite helmet. Its a little bit more expensive than some helmets. But is head protection really where you want to be cheap? Worth every penny.
Love the helmet and reputation! My sunglasses hit the curve of the helmet behind the ears so couldnt keep it.
The Kask Mojito's looks including its low profile eliminates the dreaded mushroom head look. The leather-like straps, sturdy (and removable) padding, adjustable back harness all add up to one quality-looking helmet. I hope crash protection is top-notch as well (this one I don't want to find out first hand). I can't comment yet on how well ventilation is as it is still cold where I ride. There are a lot of vents so I don't see overheating will be an issue. I will give the helmet 4.5 stars out of 5. The half point deduction is for
1. The helmet's harness that hugs the back of one's head gets in the way of my sunglasses' arms. I resolved this issue by tucking the arms under the harness. Tuck them in before tightening the harness. The upside to this is that my sunglasses stay solidly in place.
Overall, I'm enjoying the helmet. I can see item 1 as a slight concern when I have to, for some reason, remove and put back my sunglasses while moving.
Replaced my Smith helmet with this one - was looking for a cooler better ventilated helmet. Very please with the Kask - Fit was great and the movable back made the fit spot on. The chin strap is heavier than I would like but getting more comfortable as it breaks in. Very cool in the heat of the summer compared to my Smith. I would buy another Kask helmet for sure.
Product shipped on time and customer service was very helpful. The helmet fits as described and fits securely via twisting the back knob. I have rides with it 10 times now. Airflow is great and not hot on those sweltering Summer days.
It's lightweight, safe, and fits me great. I like the leather chin strap and the helmet vents great. I keep it in the box when not in use to avoids scuffs and damage. Replace after crashing or a hard drop, as with any road helmet.
Fits great, the helmet is light and comfortable.
The Kask Mojito helmet is light, stylish and very comfortable. I really like the way it fits and the controls help you dial in your head size. This is my first helmet from Kask and I really like it. It comes in a lot of different colors so they have something for everyone. When you are looking for your next helmet I would try this one.
I bought this helmet to replace my old Giro. It's lightweight, fits snugly, and feels secure. Seems well ventilated for hot weather. My only criticism is the plastic strap at the back, which holds the helmet in place, can be a tad uncomfortable. This same strap now keeps my glasses from staying in place, I have to adjust them constantly, as it seems to push them out. I think I'd go back to Giro for my next helmet.
I use the helmet every day.Light and great to ware.
I can't think of one thing I don't like
I love this helmet - it fits my noggin nice and snug and the adjuster works great. Fits with a cap (for the winter) or without (for the summer). The chin strap goes around and not OVER my ears, just how I like it. The chin strap connection is smooth and easy. Helmet is light and comfy - looks good too!
My primary helmet. I ride road, gravel & all-mountain XC. Super comfortable, excellent fit, great ventilation, looks good too - best helmet I've ever owned (by far)! Recetly crashed hard on pavement (first time in years). 30mph over the bars. Landed on my head, broke the helmet (same model Kask) but it minimized injuries. I ordered the exact same model immediately!
Light, comfortable, form fitting and stylish. Best helix I have owned!
Got this on sale and wow am I happy. This helmet is light, and streamlined. It looks fantastic. I feel protected and the helmet is not huge on my head. No mushroom affect with this one. In fact, it like an extension of my head not an apparatus sitting on top. The leather strap makes it comfortable to wear. The multiple holes keep my head cool. The holes are appropriately placed so that it can hold my sunglasses. The rear adjustment is easy. This is a great helmet. Easily one of the best looking helmets around. I look like a pro. I am female and though the smallest size is medium, it fits my head perfectly. I believe it to be true to size. My only issue (and it's minor) is that one of my pairs of riding glasses has long handles. The ends bump into the back of the helmet. Easily rectified and minor adjustment for me. This purchase is a complete success, now for the rest of my riding gear...
I am a serious recreational rider and log about 150-200 miles a week.Seattle, WA
After crashing in my last Mojito, I went back to all the usual brands to see if anything had changed in stylingfit. Nope, most still look super-geeky on my small female head. Even though the Mojito doesn't come in a size small, the medium fits well and best of all, looks pretty great on. The only downside is that it's a bit heavier than some of the light Giro helmets and after 6 hrs, I feel it (but maybe I would feel anything at that point). Bottom line, I've bought the same helmet twice.
I bought this helmet while waiting for a replacement retention strap for Catlike Whisper Deluxe helmet that I've been using for most of the year. The Mojito is more comfortable (for me) than the latter and both the retention system and chin strap are higher quality. The retention system is quite easy to adjust with a single hand, which could come in handy if, say, your head expands after being hit by a poison dart in the middle of your ride. Despite the added comfort, the Catlike's airflow seems better and I'll likely still use it on hotter days, but overall the Mojito is a superior hat.
Ive been riding for 25 years, used many different helmets and this one fits the best by a long shot. Very secure and super easy to adjust. Works equally well with or without a cycling cap-which I often use. Superior product.
Road Cycling. Like how it fits and don't slide around on my head and no pressure points
This helmet is great! The mojoito is super light and fits great. It is true to its size and very comfortable. Slightly expensive but jumping on it at a sale price is a steal. I tried two other helmets prior to the mojoito and the the mojoito has proved far better. The mojoito is far from bulky and has great ventilation. Overall, great product!
