Makes helmet like new

The plastic on the sides of the old retention strap fell apart, this is a direct replacement and is much cheaper than a new helmet. My Giros Zen was still in excellent condition, no reason to go spend $100 on a new helmet.

this works perfect exactly what I needed to save my helmet. the install was simple just take the old one out but the new one and you're ready to ride. I had a new helmet on order and canceled it once I put this in and realized my old helmet was just as good as new.

Fit perfectly in my Anamus Giro helmet. Really didn't think I would find this piece due to the helmet's age. I like this helmet and am very glad I found the head basket for it. Price was great too!

Problem with adjustment tabv

Bought this to replace a Roc Loc 4 system where the adjustment tab in the back came off. Same thing happened to this one within a very short time. I have an older helmet with a similar system which has experienced no problems. I'm not impressed with the Roc Loc 4 system.

I was so happy to find out Giro makes this inexpensive replacement part. It was easy to snap it in. Since the only color option is black and my Saros helmet is red and white, I popped off the black logos pieces on the new system and popped on the red ones from my old broken system. It looks like the original part and my helmet is again snug on my head!

Great alternative vs. buying new helmet!

Bought this system to replace the original one that broke. Saved me a lot of money instead of having to buy a new helmet, all I had to do was replace the retention system. Helemt is good as new.

After years of use, my Roc Loc wasn't locking any more. I preferred to refurbish my helmet rather than replace it, so the RL4 was an ideal solution. It was easy to install and I now have a better-fitting helmet.

Was looking for a new helmet because sweat deteriorated the original Roc Loc 4 system. Replaced with this part in a minute and have virtually a new helmet.

Picked this up to fix a broken retention system, and the helmet fits like new-ish. Totally worth the purchase vs. buying a new helmet!

I broke one of the support pieces on my Roc Loc and thought I would have to buy a new helmet (uugggg!) when I found this replacement online. It fit perfectly and only took a few minutes to replace...a no-brainer and much cheaper than a new helmet.

Same as original, but may not include all of the parts you expect

I purchased the replacement Roc Loc 4 after eventually wearing out the original, and the replacement has been great as it is exactly what the helmet came with originally. I'd just like to warn people to take a close look at the picture before you buy, to make sure you're getting what you need. The upper plastic straps depicted actually attach to another length of plastic that then locks into the styrofoam of the helmet. This piece is not included, only what is shown in the picture. Giro really should have included that extra little piece because recently that broke on me.

Just what I needed to revitalize my favorite helmet.
by Cycleblau

I used the Roc Loc 4 to replace mine, which had broken one of two fragile strips on the side connectors. If the other half had broken the helmet old not fit s securely. It attached easily and the helmet works as new.

My Thoughts Are A bit Different Take A Look....

For 3 Ironman Events it has served me well, lots of saddle time 's lots of helmet wear. Here in FL.lots of humidity & hot weather do not help the plastic parts along, I sort of expect the wear to happen sooner than expected.Yes it is my head and for someone who has had their share of horrific spills head crashing to the ground I may only say thank you Giro for being their for me, for you are that close from maybe being brain dead. I continue to train and compete, for falling off a bicycle only means to get right back on and do it all over again.I am now shopping for a new helmet only because it is time to lay my current one to rest it has served me well but does need some interior parts so I will select a new helmet, my head is certainly one body part I would like to keep whole. Safe Riding Everyone..

I just found my atmos's retention system has one of the strip to the top is torn. It is good to find a replacement part instead of a new helmet purchase.
