I have the roadie version as well and it's comfy so I snagged this one too. The meshy upper combined with the lace-up closure leaves a tad to be wanted in the support department but it's not too bad. I think its fine for a recreational gravel application and can make for quicker drying on the fly. The color is a bit bluer than the photo. Those dark dots are less noticeable and the hue is closer to Caribbean pastel than the wheat-fed slate slabs pictured. Better than black or white.
Theses shoes are narrow, which is good for my feet. The insoles are well-padded, but the fabric is generally thin, which is good! They run small. I bought a 39, which are a little long for my feet; I normally (and reliably) wear a 38. Great low-tech buy for a cyclist.
These shoes are super comfortable. Too light for heavy gravel riding I think, but wonderful for casual rides in town.
These run a touch narrow but are extremely comfortable, light weight and have a solid sole. Ordered my usual size and had no troubles with fit.
