I love the Giro Prolight Techlace shoes. They are sooooo light and the velcro tab takes the work out of tying the shoestrings. I did find that the laces were a little long in the middle and top of the shoe for me, but discovered that you can adjust the lace length.
Wow, these shoes are so stiff and light. Unfortunately, I did not get the use them because one of the cleat plates were loose inside the shoe. I may just wait for the RC9 to be in stock and buy those so they match my XC9. These Prolights are extremely light though and I wish I could justify running both Shimano and Giro
Light weight, looks good. My biggest problem is the tongue slides down into the shoe, it will not stay in place easily. I have to maneuver it around to the side and bend the top over to keep it in place and still have to reach down and pull it out of the shoe multiple times on every ride.
Love these shoes; light, extremely comfortable and they perform!
Was advised they ran small ordered one size up; fit perfect
These are the lightest road shoes I've ever owned. Just one of my other road shoes is still much heavier than a pair of SLX II. Of course Giro gave up the buckle to keep the weight down so you're left with 3 overly long straps. These straps are so super long its not even funny.
I really wished Giro would have put more effort in sizing up the straps correctly so it terminates nice and tidy. Also the placing of the straps are not symmetrical when comparing Left and Right, more of an issue of quality control but one would figure since these are their top model a little more care would be involved.
The uppers are synthetic and feel really supple when using. They have this conform to your foot feel. The ability to choose between 3 arch supports is great.
A comment about the color. If you're thinking about the Fluorescent Orange their color is similar to the hazard cones at construction sites. That deep, bright orange. Yep, thats the color. It will clash with everything you own, but man do they rock!
I've been using these day in and out and the more you wear them the better they get. Would I buy them again, yes. But I would really wish Giro would take a little more care with the quality and length of the straps. Devil is in the details as they say.
Love these shoes for the fit. They fit like they where custom made for my feet plus they are crazy lite. They made the stop Velcro strap longer on this version. I have last years version and the strap was just barely long enough to close properly.
Very nice shoe. I need a couple of more rides to break them in a bit more. I have the old version of these and like them a little bit better thus far though. Giro is my new number 1......dropped my sworks! Straps are a bit long....and seem a little more bulky than the old ones. Still great though.
