Exactly as described. Functional and of good quality
I use these socks for cycling 34 of the year. They breath very well and they feel much better to me than the non wool socks. They are pretty thin, but they have lasted for years. The biggest problem that I have with them is that my sons keep trying to steal them from me.
A very good Spring/Summer sock. Comfortable airy and wear like iron. (I still have the first pair I purchased in the mix).
These have been my go-to cycling socks for some time now. Very comfortable, warm on cool days and cool on warm days. They even maintain much of their warmth when wet. Initial reaction when I first received them was that they are not very stretchy. However, I believe this helps to keep them intact longer. I find that I am always wearing out the toe prematurely in stretchier socks such as SmartWool but less so with these. Pairs that I have had for over 2 years are still going strong. Added benefit, if I commute to work and forget my dress socks, I can use the understated grey without worry that they will look out of place.
I love DeFeat Wooly Bully socks. Mistakenly thought these were a thinner version, but still an excellent sock. They're thin but still fairly warm. Probably good for 40-80 (might be a little hot but they breathe).
These nice wool socks are great, They work for rides or with my business casual pants. Work in any weather.
Good for cycling and ever oldday use
Had problems keeping feet warm during cold days until I bought these socks. Now cold feet are no longer an issue
Have 3 pair of these. Nothing much to say, they do what socks are supposed to do.
Wear these under my shoes
Wore these socks on a 7 day bike tour in August. The wool is really makes them cool to wear. Never a problem feeling overheated or sweaty.
Great all round cycling socks.
Love these socks. They keep your feet warm, yet do not make them sweat. Also, they DO NOT make your feet itch as marino is tight weave and provides comfortable fit.
Not a heavy weight sock, but works well on cool days. I use a thin liner sock underneath for added warmth.
I was concerned these socks (with wool) would be itchy. Washed them twice. Went out on the first day and they were great. There's no itching. The Marino wool is super smooth knit and feel great. Super comfortable and warm in 40 to 45 degree riding weather. Would highly recommend. I'm buying a second pair.
I love wearing these socks, there's nothing to not like!
I pair these socks with shoe covers and I good for 2 hours in mid 30's temperatures. Highly recommended!
Log enough so there is no leg showing between my tights and my shoes
Absolutely LOVE these socks. I'll ride outside in temps as low as 40 or so and these are GREAT. With a neoprene shoe coverbootie, my feet are toasty warm, and never hot and sweaty. The higher top keeps out potential drafts where your cycling tight or leg warmer goes into the bootie. Super staticky in the clothes dryer so if you can't find one after laundry, it's likely stuck to something else.
I ordered these for the cooler weather with fallwinter coming. I'm amazed at how thin and comfortable these socks are. If you are looking for extreme warmth, keep looking. I anticipate these will wear well and continue to be comfortable.
