Got this helmet on sale and I've been stoked on it. I also have an S-Works Prevail and size small and the Mixino size small fits perfect. It's light and ventilation is great.
I bought this helmet for my wife and she absolutely love it. I looks great, it's light and fits perfectly. My only regret is that I didn't buy one for myself.
Bought this helmet on sale, so I thought it was an okay deal. Now that I have the helmet, I think it was a very good deal. The helmet is a little expensive, but now that I have it I can point out its many virtues fits like a glove because it's so adjustable, very light and great fit for me, breaths like no other helmet, low profile close fitting, not a big bubble head like a lot of other helmets.
Picked this up during an awesome sale to replace my old and well used Giro Atmos. Unlike the Atmos, the Mixino does not produce pressure points on my head after hours on the bike. It just plain old fits my head better. I've found it to be lighter than the Atmos and have better ventilation. So far this fall, I've had no trouble dialing in the fit with a cap on underneath it. It's highly adjustable and easy to make adjustments to. Overall, a great product that has exceeded my expectations. Give it a shot.
Only one concern is the cushion items. Small amount of velcro allows missplacement issues and one separated after only a month of use. The kit came with some extras so a simple replacement was all that was needed. It is the best looking and performing unit I have owned. Fit is superior to other brands and the comments from other riders are solely about the look. Love it!
This is a great helmet. The sizing was correct, air flow great, and comfortable. This my first Catlike helmet, and not my last. Awesome helmet.
The helmet arrived fast and on time, there were no problems at all. I have purchased other items as well and received my items right on time.
Great air flow and very light. Style may not fit all head shapes.
I replaced my Catlike Whisper Plus with the Mixino over a month ago, and I've been very pleased with it. The fit is much better, the helmet is lighter, and the ventilation is the best I've had. It fits as well as the high end Giro Helmets I've used. The Mixino fits better than the Whisper Plus did on my round head. I particularly like the adjustment wheel at the back, which allows me to easily adjust to a headband or cap underneath the helmet. The ventilation, weight and fit of this helmet are all excellent.
Love this helmet. I've been using catlike helmets since 2007. First the whisper, then the whisper plus and now the mixino. I've been using mine since June (2013), I've ridden about 2000 miles with it and it's by far the best catlike helmet I've used. The retention system is so much better than the previous versions and it no longer interferes with my sunglasses. It's also lighter than the whisper plus and vents just as well (or better). I have one in matte black and one in white. I tend to use the matte black one more often.
I have used many different helmets and this is the most comfortable. It is the best ventilated and had enough adjustment to make the fit perfect. In hot wether this is by far my favorite helmet.
Over the years, I've owned many of the top end Giro and Bell helmets (Giro generally fit me a bit better). When the Catlike helmets become available in the US, I decided to give this one a try. The helmet is feather light and I can barely tell I have it on. The retention system is easy to adjust and feels like the helmet is very secure. Great ventilation, nice build quality, and sharp looks. I'll definitely look to Catlike for my next helmet.
Just got the helmet in matte black and I'm quite pleased. Nice tight fit, loads of adjustments and a pretty snappy design in my view. I inline skate more than I cycle, and I had the mixino on today for a hard 20k skate in 88F heat - no issues whatsoever. I was slightly surprised that I ended up with a medium (was thinking large), but the medium fits me very well - not sure if the helmet runs slightly big. I had read some complaints about adjustment strap comfort, but I did not find that to be the case at all - definite thumbs up from me.
Catlike has really come through with the Mixino. What I loved about my Whisper Plus (unique look, superior ventilation) has carried over, an what I didn't love has been eliminated (less customizable fit, weight). The retention system is fantastic, and when I followed the directions for fitting those w a round head, it was the most comfortable fit I have been able to achieve with a bike helmet. The only problem I have with it is that the foreward-most straps, which lay over the temples, are set into the helmet waaay too far forward. I am used to those straps laying over the temples' hairline, but these are set further forward than that, the feel of which drove me nuts. My solution was to pop out the forward connecting points of the retention system, thread the straps aft of those points, and pop the rentention system back in. That positioned the straps exactly where I wanted them, without seemingly compromising function, as pulling down on the straps as hard as I could did not result in the rentention system popping out. I'm glad I was able to figure this solution out, because I would have otherwise been forced to consider returning the helmet. Overall, one gets a very high quality helmet (even for the price), and will revel in the feeling of wearing no helmet at all (but for the straps telling you it's there). Hopefully Catlike will address the positioning of the forward straps, but until then my little workaround seems to be a good solution.
LikesUnsurpassed Style, Safety and technology, color combination (Matches my team kit), excellent fit and adjust-ability, comfort, and that my Oakley and Giro Havik glasses fit perfectly in the vent holes. You get what you pay for, and while a bit more expensive than some, this is well worth it.
