I was somewhat skeptical when I bought this jersey but the sale price was enough to encourage me to experiment and I must say that I've worn it more this spring/early summer than my other jerseys. The wind-resistant layer actually does keep me from freezing in morning temps (50s) while the well ventilated prosecco fabric back keeps me from overheating in the afternoon (70-80s). I like the stitched on scorpio badge on the chest and reflective hits on the rear pockets. If they put in a zippered pocket which even cheaper jersey brands are incorporating to keep keys and wallets secure, got rid of the plasticky Castelli logo on the back which will quickly become an ugly gluey patch after several washes, and made the sleeves 12-1 inches longer so that you don't get a gap with arm warmerssun sleeves this jersey would be a 5-star affair even with the $$$ price tag. The size chart is true to size although I must note that Castelli seems to be upsizing their jerseys as I previously was a medium and now am a small, the measurements on the size chart reflect that but they seem to be making heir jerseys larger (today's small would have been a medium a few years ago).
This jersey is perfect for cool morning starts with arm warmers. You can unzip when things heat up. I wouldn't wear in sweltering heat. It's more generously cut than other castelli jerseys I own. I have the white and with the extra wind fabric and looser cut, it wasn't unflattering the way white jerseys can be.
