Zipp VumaQuad Crankset w/ Bottom Bracket
The Zipp VumaQuad crankset is a truly innovative design bringing cutting edge research and technology to the forefront, which we have come to expect of all Zipp products. Every last detail on the Zipp VumaQuad crankset is truly ground breaking technology! A full 33% stiffer than the lightest cranksets on the market, while exceeding the CEN crankset fatigue test standard by 20%!
Four Arm Spider: Integrates the fourth chainring bolt into the crank arm which improves stiffness and creates a weight savings compared to five-arm designs. The final result is a four arm, 110mm bolt circle diameter that's over 14% stiffer than any five-arm design!
Carbon Technology: Zipp uses a new bonding system with three times more strength than previous systems to encase two separate lugs in the carbon. The result is a featherweight crankset capable of passing even the most rigorous standards.
Bearings: Zipp set the standard for wheel bearings by specing only ABEC 5 races and Grade 10 steel balls, which are two and a half rounder than the rest of the steel bearings in the indurstry! If two and a half times rounder isn't enough then upgrade to Ceramic bearings (+$250). The ABEC 7 races and Grade 2 balls aren't just ceramic, but the best ceramic bearings on the market!
