| Speed Shop 2 | Designed and built inside the wind tunnel in order to make a
premiere, lightweight, stiff climbing wheel. For 2009, Zipp spec'd the 202 with the all-new 88/188 hubset and
moved to external spoke nipples for easier service with no aero penalty. As always, Zipp's VCLC and Carbon Bridge
technologies that ensure that the 202's ride is comfortable, smooth, and rock-solid. Excellent choice for mountainous events or when the number one priority is weight! Seconds matter, speed matters, and size does matter. | Speed Shop Disc | The Zipp tubular disc is the lightest disc on the market and the
fastest, with the exception of the Sub-9 disc. The Zipp Disc has been one of the major cornerstones of Zipp’s
arsenal of high performance wheels. The ABLC dimpled surface provides additional watt savings and the new carbon bridge technology sheds additional grams. required to properly blend the airflow behind the tire. Most clincher discs have used an aluminum rim post-bonded
to the outside of a flat or lenticular disc wheel. This approach can lead to strong and easily manufactured
clincher discs, but it does not take into account the turbulence created by the interface between the tire extrusion and the disc! Zipp took over 2 years addressing this problem and has created the ultimate clincher disc, which is optimized for strength, weight, and aerodynamics. Incorporating Zipp’s VCLC technology reduces the road vibration up to 11%! Smooth riding with improved aerodynamics! | Speed Shop Sub-9 | Zipp decided to reinvent the wheel and has developed the first
disc to product negative drag! Zipp used the most difficult wind tunnel testing protocol – a 30 degree down to 0 degree test run that starts with the airflow already separated from the rim. The Zipp Sub-9 Disc shattered every drag reading and at 15 degrees yaw it produced -80 grams of drag. And yes, that’s a negative 80! The Sub-9 Disc’s unique shape was designed to optimize the airflow properties as it comes off the tire when it’s acting as a leading and trailing edge. The torodial bulge also functions to improve the responsiveness and handling. | Speed Shop PowerTap Discs | One of the biggest drawbacks of using PowerTap for time-trialists
