Great workouts

For someone who needs structure & guidance, this book is great. Some of the warm-ups are REALLY long so I end up adjusting those but the main sets are great. Love using these workouts in the offseason too! There are a large variety if workouts to choose from which helped me during the long Ironman training season.

Book never dries! While the book is waterproof the pages stick together. I had to go through the book multiple times drying off pages.

The Good Stuff: At least 50 different workout plans, Can be shortened or lengthened to fit your schedule, easy to follow (once you understand the abbreviations), caters to freestyle only swimmers as well as those who know all strokes. My Personal Gripes: Not as waterproof as I would like it to be, I do have to wipe quite a few pages dry before putting it away (of course as fanatical as I am about working out I am the same with taking care of my equipment), I suggest using a zip lock freezer bag when using poolside, Definitely study the abbreviations before using the book as they can be confusing even after you studied them several times. All in all this is a definite buy for a swimmer or triathlete.

A year ago when asked "what are you doing for your swim workout?" I would have said "swimming." If you too, suffer from "swimming" this book is an incredible value! Durable and waterproof, it can be brought out on the pool deck and placed next to your sandals for quick reference.
