Outside of the sculpted and redesigned finish of Shimano's Dura Ace 7900 front derailleur it features two fundamental changes which has cyclists and triathletes singing its praises already! First, there is no trimming necessary on the front big chainring. That means once you shift into your big ring you won't have any chain rub, regardless of what gear you are in! Just mash away in that 53x25! The second fundamental change is the optimized spring tension which allows for incredibly smooth shifting between the front and small chainrings. Shimano also reinforced the upper half of the front derailleur which provides a larger platform to move the cage during a shift.
