product description

The PodiumQuest Dual Chamber Hydration System made by Cee Gees is the answer to all of your bike hydration needs! Reap the benefits of having ready and easy access to two different fluids in one convenient bottle right at your aerobars! Click here for a scale comparison between the PodiumQuest, Profile Design Aerodrink and the Jetstream NXT.

Features of the PodiumQuest:
  • The only aero hydration system in the world that carries 2 fluids.
  • Fast fill technology - this is a closed system, minimal splashing, easy to fill while riding.
  • The system mounts easily.
  • Each fluid compartment has a separate straw that extends for drinking.
  • The upper bottle carries 23 ounces, the lower bottle carries 27 ounces. This is a total of 50 ounces. (The equivalent of 2 normal sized water bottles)
  • This unit is designed to “slide on” to most standard aero bar set ups.
  • You no longer need additional water bottle mounts on your bike in order to stay hydrated for distance riding.
  • Each bottle has been kept translucent so you can see your fluid levels at all times. This means no more guessing on amount of fluid you have remaining in your bottles before approaching aid stations.
  • Sleek aero design.
  • We recommend that you have approximately 2 1/4" between your aerobars for best fit. Maximum width between the aerobars can be no more than 4”.
Purpose of the PodiumQuest:
  • You now have 2 fluids available at all times.
  • Eliminates having to reach back behind the seat for water bottles. Eliminates the possibility of losing your rear water bottles while riding.
  • Eliminates having to reach to your down tubes to get a drink.
  • Streamlines the drinking and refilling process. It’s all in one place, right at your fingertips.
  • You don’t break your aero riding position to get a drink.
  • Allows the triathlete to get stay focused on their riding, not reaching for fuel.
  • Allows the triathlete to drink even in high wind conditions.

Dual reservoir is the the key
August 17, 2011
I have used the Revolution dual chamber hydration system for many years and in many of my long distance races. At the end of the day, the bottle is well constructed (my sample one leaked a bit but this has been resolved) and it gets the job done. I had to modify the attachment with foam pipe covers so it stayed secure but with most of the good tri gadgets there is usually some improvised modifications that need to be done. I also marked the bottle so I know what hole corresponds to what straw, this way I know what hole to pour water into and what hole to pour energy drink. As a member of the TriSports.com staff, I was provided this product at no charge to test and review.
Pros:
Large Capacity, Easy to Refill, Secure Straps, Good Water Flow
Cons:
Bulky
Best Uses:
Ironman, Multi-Sport, Triathlons

Conceptually OK but Practically Flawed
July 14, 2011
This is a great idea--dual hydration with straws to avoid futzing around with water bottles--but two realities of how it functions make it a "fail" for me: 1) Lid pops open on the slightest bump--I need a bungee cord and a piece of plastic under the lid lock to MINIMIZE leakage, which ought to have been nonexistent. 2) Velcro straps and foam for aerobar fitting are clumsy in the extreme. I'll be looking for another aerobar-mounted product, as even my numerous modifications have not made this satisfactory.
Pros:
Good Water Flow
Cons:
Uncomfortable

Still happy after 6 years
June 9, 2011
I've had this since before I raced Kona in 2007. It has served me well for many years. I recently pulled it out of storage to start my 2011 race season and it continues to work great. Top chamber splashes a bit, so I put clean water in the top so I don't end up sticky all day. It is a tad wide, so if you like your aero bars really close together, you may have an issue, but I find it just about right.
Pros:
Dual Chambers, Durable, Large Capacity
Best Uses:
Multi-Sport

does not hold 50oz
April 29, 2011
I was looking for a system to replace the two 24oz water bottles I carry behind my seat. this is advertised at 50oz but it does not hold two 24oz water bottles. 40oz at best. However, I do like the design and functionality. great product just doesn't have the capacity advertised.
Pros:
Easy to Refill, Good Water Flow, Secure Straps

I bought this thinking it would be great to have both water and sports drink in the front mount water bottle. Although the idea is great, the system only worked for about a month. The bottom water resv'r goes through the middle of the top resv'r, so the top resv'r uses o-rings to seal the system which started leaking water. Now on rides, the top resv'r of water leaks into the bottom resv'r of sportsdrink, or if the bottom resv'r is full, it leaks onto my legs during the ride. I could probably fix it, but decided to just go with the single resv'r design to elminate problems during races where I don't want to be messing around trying to fix my water bottle.

Wow I saw some other reviews of this product where people had issues but decided to buy this anyway and Im glad I did. I used one of the other brands and the sponge falls out, I sweat back into the bottle when I'm in aero position (that can't be good) and my drink kept splashing around, it was a nightmare as I understand how important it is to hydrate. What excited me about this product was the fact that I can run a gel mix in one chamber and an electro drink in the other. I just used this in the Singapore IM 70.3 event and it was perfect. I pre made my drinks the night before the race, took the bottles to registration and filled up the Podium Quest system. During the race when I rode past the refill stations I was able to easily refill the system as the lids are perforated and allow me to push the nozzle of the refill bottle in and squeeze in the fluids. I found it easy to install and take off and wash. I am training with it full time now and for me this is simple the best system on the market today. Remember races are won and lost on fuel and this is a very simple way to have the variety of fuels without having to move from the aero position. Give it a go, youll love it.

I have tried the other front end systems and this is the best hands down. The ability to have a gel mix in one chamber and a sports drink in the other is what gave me a great time in the Ironman 70.3 in Singapore. Being able to eat and drink in the aero position saves time, lots of time and energy. The caps allow you to push a normal bottle end into the bottle and fill it on the fly. It is a great system and no tools required. It kills all the others, give it a go.

I have used two of these. The first one eventually (1+ years) developed a leak because of the seals. I tried to purchase new rubber seals, but PodiumQuest was unable to sell me those at the time. They simply offered me a new bottle for free, which worked great. I eventually fixed the old one with silicone glue, but use the new one for the most part. It underwent a bit of redesign, and the new one has much better lids (with a thick foam attached under the rubber) that has yet to start to flap open like the old one. Cleaning up the bottom part is still difficult, and that's why I only gave four stars.

I love the two compartment system. It allows using a strong mixture for the start of most races when you need calories after the swim and haven't lost much water yet; and a weaker mix in the second compartment. That way I can get the right mix of water and calories. The lids aren't splash-proof, but they splash less than the Profile bottles do. Over time they loosen up and start to pop open though. The upper compartment splashes more than the lower one, but mainly only when it is nearly full, so I drink from that one first. The bottle fits well on my Bontrager Carbon Lite XXX bars. It doesn't turn sideways like some of the other front mount aero bottles do. It slips on and off quickly for cleaning. That can be more difficult if the bars have a sharp bend. The velcro system could use some improvements, but I think it's better than the rubber bands or the clamp that only works on perfectly straight bar extensions that the other two systems use. This is larger than the Profile or JetStream bottles, so it has a little more drag. It isn't as much more as the photo comparison at this website makes it look like though, because the photos were taken looking downward from the front instead of flat from the front. It holds enough that I don't use any additional bottles, and I think it has less air drag than either of the other front systems plus a frame-mounted cage and bottle.

This is a must have for IronMan racing & training! Having both water & Gatorade in my face at all times definitely helps keep the hydration up. With the "other guys" I had to carry water in a bottle and never bother to readh for it taking salt pills & gels with Gatorade which is less than optimal. In a 1/2 IronMan you could fill both sides with Gatorade and not carry any other liquids on the bike. In training I carry 2 bottles behind the seat and only have to stop & refill fluids once on a long ride.

The first bottle I ordered leaked before I even used it. It was cheerfully replaced. The replacement started leaking at the world champioships in Lausanne. I tossed that one. Needless to say this product needs some major improvements.
