Training with power is one of the best ways to get the most out of your training sessions, and now you can train with power without having to sell your car for a power meter. The Kurt Kinetic inRide Power computer will allow you to track your power from your Kinetic fluid trainer for less than the price of many cycling shoes. The inRide uses Kurtís incredibly accurate fluid trainer power curve and readings of speed and cadence at the tire from the inRide Sensor Pod gathered from a magnet mounted on the roller drum. With a little mathematical magic, they are able to figure your power and send it to your iPhone, along with time, heart rate, speed, distance and more advanced training metrics like Training Stress Score, power profile numbers and time spent in training zones. One huge bonus is it utilizes Bluetooth rather than ANT+, so the data can be transmitted more times per second while using less of your iPhone battery. This allows you to ride for up to eight hours using a fully charged iPhone. No more excuses Ė time to train like the pros!

New Kinetic inRide App
October 27, 2014
Previously, I was pretty tough on Kinetic and their Wahoo based Kinetic inRide initial app on their FB feed. After using the app for a few weeks now, and in the essence of fairness, I want to post that the new inRide app that Kinetic has now developed is AWESOME!!!! I am so happy with it, and the way it has been developed. It is solid, reliable, and very user friendly (just like their trainers!)... even for a techno-tard like me! Being a total fan of their trainers, I now have the perfect tool to use while I travel to my overseas work location where I cannot ride on any open road for two months at a time. Thanks Kinetic!!! Awesome, awesome job bringing this new app along!
Pros:Their are customizable pages in the app. .Intuitive, allows multiple readouts on a single page. Shares with Training Peaks very easily
Cons:Not all pages are customizable. Spin-down calibration (10-mins) does not tie into workouts, to upload into training sites. I expect that will be one of their updates in the future.

Excellent Value - If you have a Kinetic Trainer
October 16, 2014
I've been indoor trainging since 2000 with Kinetic trainers using power. Initially used their wired version and last year installed inRide which sends power and heartrate info to my Wahoo Fitness App on iPhone 5.
Pros:Inexpensive, reliable power and h/r readings for indoor training
Cons:Only works with Kiinetic trainers
