The HED Stinger 50 with a rim depth of 50mm, is built for one thing "sheer speed". HED's new, 50mm cross section, is aerodynamically superior because its shape allows the airflow to remain stable for the longest possible time in the all carbon Stinger range. The hard structure Stinger rim also allows fewer spokes to be used due to its higher level of rigidity, resulting in a stiffer overall design. So if an average drag saving of 42% over a standard 32-spoke reace wheel sounds like music to your ears, then the no-compromise Stinger 50 is just waiting to impress.

The Stinger 50 is an all carbon wheel ideal for road racing. Utilizing a 50mm rim depth, it is much more aerodynamic than a traditional alloy rimmed road wheel. While this rim depth will make you faster, it is not so deep that handling will be compromised in crosswinds or a crowded peloton. With its superior strength and ultra-lightweight design, climbing with the Stinger 50 will feel no different than with a lightweight traditional wheel.

The Stinger 50 is built with sonic hubs, bladed 6/4 ti spokes front, and bladed steel spokes rear. 700c only. Hed strongly recommends carbon-compound brake pads for use with all Stinger wheels.
