product description
Be the first triathlete on the block to own the all-new Forerunner 920XT from Garmin. With tons of high-end training features, the slim-sleek 920XT is like having your own personal coach. This super-advanced, GPS multisport smart-watch tracks and captures all the vital information necessary to push your performance to the next level. It features a high-resolution color display that tracks steps, distance, pace and heart rate. This intelligent activity tracker has a recovery advisor, race predictor and V02 max estimator, so you'll train a whole lot smarter. The Forerunner 920XT crunches numbers and monitors data like run speed, beats per minute and variable heart rate to estimate V02 max. Based off that V02 max, it can predict your race times for different distances, so you can target a specific time for your next race. The recovery advisor knows your physiology and will factor-in data from your last workout to let you know when you're fully recovered and ready for the next training session. The 920XT monitors multiple metrics and provides feedback on your running form. It reports your cadence, vertical oscillation and ground contact time, helping you improve your overall running dynamics. It has a built-in Metronome feature with vibe and audible alerts to guide your cadence training. Instantly see your text and call notifications with the Smart Notification feature, and share your stats and location with friends and family in real-time with Connected features. And thanks to its 24-hour battery, the 920XT lets you train longer without worrying about losing a connection. Time your performance perfectly with the Garmin Forerunner 920XT. The future of racing has arrived!

Works as Expected
July 22, 2017
I much prefer being able to track all 3 disciplines with one device. This has work as expected right out of the box and no big complaints from me. Over the past year this has logged all of my swimming, biking and running activities with ease. The only thing that took some time getting used to was getting the laps in the pool to be more accurate. I would occasionally miss out on anywhere from 50 to 200 yards for my pool workouts. It took some time to understand why it wasn't recognizing my turns at the end of each length, but was easy to correct once I paid attention to it. This pairs well with my Powertap P1 Pedals, no drops in power readings and was a breeze to use during my first 70.3 this year. Dropping to 4 stars because the wireless uploads of data has had issues and I'm currently uploading everything through the charger 2-3 times a week.

The one piece of tri equipment I can't live without
July 20, 2017
I have tiny wrists (female) and this watch does not feel too big. It fits really well with the comfortable band. Super easy to program. Easy to change the screen data daily if you want to. Easy to set alerts. Different screens for open water swim, pool swim, run, bike, and you can program "other" if you want to add a sport. For each sport there are multiple pages of data.
Pros:
More data than you can imagine and easy to program

This watch has been my staple since it came out. Battery life of the watch is amazing. The only lacking thing was no heart rate monitor built in.
Pros:
battery life, all day watch, smart notifications
Cons:
thickness of watch, and design

Very user friendly
March 10, 2017
I've always been anti technology, but my coach required something to track my metrics. I was pleasantly surprised at how easy this was to use, right out of the box.
Pros:
Easy to use Great battery life Easy to read and toggle between metrics
Cons:
It's really big on my tiny wrist

Perfect
January 28, 2017
This was an upgrade from my 310xt Garmin which worked fine, but felt like a laptop on my wrist. This watch has been flawless for all of my swim, bike, run workouts and races. The battery life has never been an issue for any of my full Iron races either. The HR monitor provides really insightful run metrics like cadence, left/right balance, and stride length. The swim function has been great as well, esp in open water where it can calculate your SWOLF score.
Pros:
The perfect all around multi-sport watch without breaking the bank.
Cons:
None.

Does it all!
November 4, 2016
Great watch with indoor & outdoor tracking for multisport.
Pros:
Lighter than its predecessors, easy to read, quality pool tracking.
Cons:
The strap stretches out and comes undone while swimming after 5-6 months of use and requires purchasing a new strap ($20).

I love this watch
November 1, 2016
This watch has more information that I wanted. It's easy to toggle from one area to another. I bought it for IM races and will try it out in Arizona next month. I have several friends that have this watch.....but not at the price the TriSport sold it to me though!
Pros:
Easy to up link to Garmin Express and update information. I use this watch for the swim and on the run. I could use it for the bike but have a Garmin 500 for that. While on the bike I will have it pre-set on the screen I want so I don't have to toggle the G-500 for a quick look. The battery life is so much longer than the old Timex Global Triathlon watch I have( I can't even read it's screen any more). I've used it on a treadmill and in an indoor pool at 24Hr Fitness and it seems to be fairly accurate with the distances. Someday I may leave the wifi and bluetooth on to check my emails while on the run.
Cons:
Does take some time getting the right layouts on the screen you want...many selections.

Great Tri Watch
March 6, 2016
I am training for for my first half Ironman. This watch is a great multi sport watch. I have the quick disconnect which makes it easy to put on the bike. The only issue I have had is when doing mile swims in lap pool the yardage would be off by 100 -150 yards. Wit the heart rate monitor it allows my Training peaks coach to analyze and adjust my workouts.
Pros:
One watch Comfort Quick disconnect system Accessories (Candence sensor and speed sensor for use on trainer.
Cons:
I little bulky with quick disconnect system.

Cons:

Love this thing
November 12, 2015
I just got into Triathlon training this past summer, my practices were pretty straight forward but lacked structure. This watch brings it all together, paired with Garmin Connect and Training Peaks you can really put together a solid training regiment. User friendly and the HRM adds a whole different dimension to training.
Pros:
Structured training

If you Tri--you need to buy!
September 10, 2015
Seriously THE best triathlon GPS unit on the market. MAJOR upgrade from 910xt (I had that one for a couple years, the 310xt before, and the 205 before that). Why? 1. Seamlessly uploads wirelessly to my iPhone (or other phones, if you're not an i-person) 2. Far better running metrics with improved HRM (including ground contact time, time "aloft", and vertical oscillation) 3. Far better swim metrics 4. Seamlessly connects to Garmin footpod, speed/cadence sensors, HRM, and vector power meter 5. Decent online platform (GarminConnect) 6. You can program workouts and upload them to your 920xt and then, when it's time to do the workout, you choose it and the unit will remind you to speed up, slow down, based on Zones! 7. You can download Garmin's training programs for everything from 5k to marathon as well as the different Tri distances, as beginner or intermediate--and upload them into your unit! It's awesome to not have to think about what's up for the day--I just check my "training schedule" on my unit and do what it tells me to do! 8. Stylish and slightly smaller than 910xt 9. Color 10. Downloadable watch faces (I use Star Trek: Next Generation's comm panel!) 11. Also functions as Activity Tracker so you don't have to use jawbone, fitbit, or garmin's vivo lines!

Wish I could give it more stars
August 31, 2015
I've owned this watch for over six months now. I'd give it more stars if I could! I love how easy it is to set up and customize! As a total gadget geek, I love the amount of data this watch is capable of providing! I've still only scratched the surface of what it can do! It's a pricey watch, but if you're serious about becoming a better triathlete, or if you're just a datahead, it's worth it!
Pros:
Easy to set up and customize, Provides TONS of data including sleep patterns!
Cons:
Inability to edit workout data in the event of an error (Note: These errors are user-caused due to pushing a wrong button--usually during a swim workout--or forgetting to start the watch at the start of a race!)

Awesome Tool
August 2, 2015
Okay, I admit it, I'm a tri numbers geek and this is awesome. The changes made for live tracking were enough to sell me on the new model
Cons:
The buttons are super sensitive so taking on and off to do quick release and put on bike takes some major practice.

do everything GPS watch
July 29, 2015
If you want 1 watch that does everything (and more) you need for triathlon, this is it. WiFi and Bluetooth compatible for fast uploads of your workouts to Garmin Connect (or your desired info site). Customizable with app downloads. Lots of useful workout info and stats.
Pros:
Does everything you need in a triathlon watch.

Top Watch on the Market
July 8, 2015
This is without a doubt the top triathlon watch on the market. It provides nearly everything you need to train effectively, and even more than that. The one downside to this is the Heart Rate Monitor which is pretty unreliable. When it works it is great, but when the battery dies and you need to replace them, the chance of successfully changing the battery without it not working again is less than 50%.
Pros:
Ability to change swimming to drills mode. Cadence built into watch Bluetooth capabilities to upload workouts automatically and have LiveTrack sessions
Cons:
Heart Rate Monitor

Best tri watch out there
June 10, 2015
Great triathlon watch. Very easy to use. Uploads data via wifi! Bluetooth connectivity is great too. This watch is built for triathletes. Has a triathlon function were you just hit the lap button after swim, T1, bike, T2, and run and it does everything else for you. Can operate as a stand alone bike computer as well and still connect with all your ANT+ or bluetooth devices. I don't like swimming with a watch but gave it a try and was very impressed with it knowing exactly how many laps I had swum at an indoor pool! So many features to list, you got to try it!
Pros:
Fast satellite pick up lighter than expected Great data and info with the heart rate strap Excellent swim and bike features as well Battery life++ Wifi data upload
Cons:
Big watch but weight is not too bad

Live track is awesome!! The GPS picks up the satellites super fast. Stylish and more comfortable on the wrist than the 910XT. I would highly recommend the new 920XT.
Pros:

Great Upgrade!
January 22, 2015
My wife got me one for my birthday. Coming from a 310xt to a 910xt (lost in a race) this was a NICE upgrade. Lighter and feels better on my wrist. I like the WiFi capabilities, daily activity tracking and the new metrics on all 3 disciplines.
Pros:
Double the battery life!!! Wifi Support Daily Activity Tracking Swim, Run Metrics Live Tracking
Cons:
Not a fan of the color options. I had the black/blue option. Less flashy so it works for me.

Great tool
January 12, 2015
This is my first GPS unit, and so far I love it. The only CONs are around the Garmin connect platform. (the Garmin software used to track your workouts online) The gym I go to advertises a 25 yard pool... after one workout my 920 figured out the pool is actually 25 meters.. after a long chat with the gym, they reviewed and changed their advertising... A watch that figured out a pool was 25 meters not yards... and it was an indoor pool. Yes it is that good. I included some pics from Garmin Connect to demonstrate how accurate the unit is in the pool and in open ocean. I am a challenged athlete, and was concerned it would not track strokes well as I am lacking movement in one arm, and it does just fine when worn on my good arm or gimpy arm! read this guys review... really great work by this person: http://www.dcrainmaker.com/2014/11/garmin-forerunner-920xt-depth-review.html
Pros:
With extra features turned on the GPS is VERY accurate. (GPS alone is just okay) Battery life is a few days Nice slim look, and light weight
Cons:
Garmin connect online software is buggy but improving.

January 2, 2015
I've had multiple Garmin GPS watches and the 920 XT puts them all to shame. It's almost stylish enough to wear as a day to watch too.
Pros:
Swim metrics Run metrics Stylish WI/FI
Cons:
The bluetooth can be frustrating and looses connectiion from time to time.
