OPEN Programmer/Analyst Contractor
TriSports.com, a world leader in Triathlon Retail and E-commerce, is looking for an innovative and talented Programmer/Analyst to join the Information Technology team on a contract basis. Term is expected to be 3 to 6 months. The programming environment includes Perl, PHP, Windows batch scripting, and Unix shell scripting. Reporting to the Director of Technology, the primary goal of the Programmer/Analyst contractor is to develop a new logging and reporting system to monitor automation of critical systems, including:
Logging of automated inbound and outbound data feeds.
Logging of outbound event-driven customer email delivery.
Maintenance of existing data feeds and development of new data feeds.
Development of an IT dashboard to identify at a glance the success or failure of automated feeds and other processes.
Implementation of a system to alert IT staff to errors in automated processes.
These logging and reporting projects will permit the Information Technology staff to improve the efficiency and operational readiness of the Tucson warehouse, retail store, and corporate headquarters, as well as the mobile expo store, and the TriSports.com Internet presence.
Working with the IT staff, design, develop, and document a robust logging mechanism to track activity and results of a diverse set of inbound and outbound data feeds.
Present high-level, at-a-glance current status results of each feed in a dashboard, with the ability to drill down into each feed to review detailed history for the feed.
The logging system should support SQL input from TriSports’ email delivery system.
Integrate existing data feeds into the logging system, modifying the feed scripts as necessary to provide seamless and robust monitoring of each script.
As time permits, develop new data feeds as needed and integrate into the logging system.
Requirements or Qualifications:
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in the Information Technology field.
Abilities and Skills
- Excellent written, analytical and verbal communications skills.
- Experience designing and implementing logging and reporting applications.
- Proven track record of completing contract jobs on time and within budget.
- Skilled in designing, implementing, and supporting applications using Perl, PHP, Windows batch scripting, or Unix shell scripting.
- Experience building text and xml feeds from an MSSQL database.
OPEN Buyer/Planner - Bike Category
The primary goal of the Buyer/Planner is to ensure that the right product mix is available for the customer at the time of order placement and provide timely, accurate information corporate wide when merchandise is not available. Buyer Planner’s are responsible for product selection, maintaining solid vendor relationships, reacting to industry trends and product lifecycles, price research, and negotiations in the management of specific categories. This person is also responsible for the forecasts, purchases and liquidation of inventory for assigned items to ensure adequate inventory is on hand to meet customer demand. In addition, this position requires a high degree of data accuracy and integrity utilizing various MS Office and proprietary programs to perform their job.
This is an 8 hour in office position with flex time available. Position requires extra hours depending on workload and other needs including attendance at regular corporate training, company events and other duties as assigned. Looking for a person with a teamwork and “whatever it takes” attitude.
Qualifications:Comprehensive Bicycle Industry Knowledge is a Must!
- Minimum 2-year college degree, Bachelor Degree preferred. Equivalent work experience may be considered year for year.
- Minimum one year materials management and procurement experience required
- Must be computer literate including proficiency with MS Office suite of software.
- Excel experience required.
- Strong math and analytical skills required.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
- Must be detail oriented and able to multi-task regularly.

ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS Customer Servce/ Sales Representative
The primary goal of the Customer Service/Sales Representative is to deliver a “WOW!” Customer Service experience to each and every customer every time. The general purpose of the Customer Service/Sales position is to assist customers with placing new orders, assisting customers with existing orders and providing product and policy information. Communication with the customer can be in the form of a phone call, email or online chat. The Customer Service/Sales representatives work together as a team to ensure that orders are processed on a daily basis to guarantee on-time delivery for the customer. Customer Service Representatives must be able to demonstrate patience and a calm demeanor under pressure.
This position is a full-time (40-hour) work week. Some flexibility can be granted with advance notice. We are looking for a person whose work ethic is based on dedication to the company and its goals.
- High School Diploma
- 2+ years of recent customer service-related experience that required the ability to think critically, solve problems and effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
- Basic knowledge of the triathlon industry or one of its three disciplines
- Proficiency with basic computer functions including Word, Excel, mouse and keyboard usage, launching applications, conducting searches on the Internet, and maneuvering in a Windows-based environment
- Ability to memorize protocol and guidelines
- Must be an active listener
- Strong problem-solving skills, analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to use basic business mathematics calculations
TriSports.com has an immediate opening for an experienced mechanic to fill a temporary full-time position. The basic function of a bicycle wizard at TriSports.com is to service, repair and build bicycles as they are presented. The mechanic is responsible for courteously greeting walk-in customers and fielding incoming calls with respect to technical questions. Karaoke experience not required but a plus.Job Functions:
- Assemble and build high-end road, triathlon and mountain bikes.
- Service bicycles.
- Other duties as needed.
- Minimum 2 years experience in the bicycle mechanic trade - UBI graduate a plus.
- General computer skills, including proficiency in spreadsheet and word processing software, as well as email applications are also required.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Requires a minimum of high-school diploma, college a plus.
- Excellent attendance and performance record.
