De Soto T1 Water Rover

Here it is the De Soto T1 Water Rover Wetsuit combination! The long awaited introduction of this suit is now here. De Soto has done their research on this suit, they claim more thoroughly than their competitors. They say this because all this time we have thought the limit for wetsuit rubber has been 5mm, this is not so. According to USAT regulations there are no limitations as to the thickness of the wetsuit rubber. So this common misconception that the limit is 5mm does not apply to almost all races in the USA and to additional races worldwide. So De Soto has worked hard to be the first to introduce the fastest and most buoyant wetsuit in the world; the Water Rover!

  • Please Note: We do not allow any coupon codes to be used with the NEW De Soto T1 Water Rover wetsuit.

De Soto has developed a wetsuit that contains Yamamoto #39 -SCS rubber with panels of 2mm, 5mm, 8mm, and 10mm thickness in specific locations to maximize speed, flexibility, and ease of removal, while keeping you warm without overheating. The amount of research and development is astounding.

Check out Emilio De Soto at Interbike 2009 explaining the suit!

Still have questions? Here, Emilio De Soto does a great job of answering some FAQ's:

Question: Can you wear two wetsuits and get the same effect?
Answer: You lose flexibility with two suits, much needed in areas like the shoulders. Also if you wear two suits you will have water accumulate between the two suits that literally gets stuck between them and you will carry this extra weight throughout the whole swim. Plus taking off two suits will certainly eat up the time you have gained from this innovative suit.

Question:Will I overheat with this wetsuit?
Answer: You will not be any warmer in this suit than what you would be in the T1 First Wave and Black Pearl suits from De Soto. The 8mm is only from the elbows to wrist and the 10mm is only on your legs.

    Question: Why not go thicker?
Answer: Anything thicker you start to lose that needed flexibility need for full range of motion. Yes thicker rubber is more buoyant but you still need the flexibility to swim.
