De Soto T1 First Wave Concept 5 PulloverItem #: DES13010 Usually ships the next business day
How much would you expect to pay for a custom-fitted wetsuit? $500? $1,000? $5,000? Not anymore! De Soto offers you the best fitting wetsuit by letting you customize the fit with their separate tops and bottoms. The De Soto T1 First Wave Concept 5 Pullover is the pinnacle of their wetsuit tops, featuring a 4-way stretch Nylon Lycra lining to minimize chafing; seams that are both glued and blind-stitched, making them stronger than the rubber itself; and a flexible 2mm body and 5mm arms for a little extra help for less efficient swimmers. Pair it with the De Soto T1 First Wave Bibjohn and youre ready for your fastest and most comfortable swim. The only difference between the First Wave Concept 5 Pullover and the First Wave Pullover is that the Concept 5 has arms that are 5mm thick as opposed to arms that are 2mm thick. The thicker arms add buoyancy and also create a larger surface area to push water. In other words, if your arms are paddles, De Soto has simply made your paddles bigger!
Flexible 2mm body and 5mm arms with a lower neckline.
BIO-STROKE design puts your arms into a forward rotated shoulder position for a more efficient swim stroke.
YKK Custom Zipper is the smallest and lightest and makes removal easier than ever.
GreenGoma #9 Rubber with Super Composite Skin makes the First Wave the warmest, fastest, most durable, flexible, and buoyant, and the most comfortable wetsuit in the world today.
Chlorine resistant treatment, but not recommend for repeated use in chlorinated water.
Lighter zipper weighs 30% less with same tensile strength and, lower neckline.
Lined with 4-way stretch Nylon Lycra to minimize chafing.

I am a poor swimmer. (classic late adult onset swimmer) This is my second suit after 4 years in Tri. I love the versatility of getting 2 different sizes. I wear a 4 top and 5 bottom. I am 5 10 and weigh 180 lbs. The thicker arms do seem to give more grab in the water and the shoulders are very flexible. Some people are worried about the two pieces BUT it is easier to take off than a one piece once you get the hang of it.
Pros:Great fit options for "non typical" body types ie big shoulders and runners legs or skinny cyclist arms with cyclist thighs. soft flexible rubber with awesome flotation. Great company customer service, warranty and support. E mail De Soto and the owner responds.
Cons:Expensive BUT worth it.
