Most clincher discs have used an aluminum rim post-bonded to the outside of a flat or lenticular disc wheel. This approach can lead to strong and easily manufactured clincher discs, but it does not take into account the turbulence created by the interface between the tire extrusion and the disc! Zipp took over 2 years addressing this problem and has created the ultimate clincher disc, which is optimized for strength, weight, and aerodynamics. Incorporating Zipp’s VCLC technology reduces the road vibration up to 11%! Smooth riding with improved aerodynamics.

The cost to demo a wheelset includes UPS ground shipping to and from anywhere in the continental United States. You'll then have the demo wheelset for up to 7 days to ride on the roads you know and love or try it out at a local race.
